It’s normal to wash your fruits and vegetables before ingesting them. It has become a normalized practice to get any unwanted critters and bacteria off the produce. After the pandemic, many have begun to reexamine disinfection habits. This DIY fruit and vegetable wash is an effective and affordable way to clean your produce!
There are two different ways to make your DIY fruit and/or vegetable wash. Contrary to belief, water is not an effective way to clean vegetables/fruit. In order to remove pesticides and/or wax coating something stronger than tap water is necessary. The acid in vinegar along with the citric acid in lemon essential oil or lemon juice will aid in removing dangerous pesticides.
