Absolutely Delicious Swiss Chard and Kale

Swiss chard and kale grow throughout the summer and into the Fall, making them an available, delicious, and nutritious addition to your diet.

Here is a great way to enjoy them together as a meal:

Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch Swiss Chard

  • 1 bunch Kale

  • Balsamic vinegar

  • Blue cheese or Feta cheese

  • Walnuts

Trim the ends of the Swiss chard and kale and then put the full leaves into a large pot.

Add ¼ to ½ inch of water to the pot.

Cover the pot and bring to a boil and then let simmer until the greens have wilted (about 10 minutes).

Add a few shakes of balsamic vinegar on top of the greens and continue to simmer for 3-5 minutes.

Cut the greens into quarters within the pot then use tongs, or two forks, to slowly remove the quarters, allowing the liquid to drain.

Place servings of greens into bowls and then sprinkle crumbles of blue cheese or feta (or any other that you want!) onto the greens along with a few walnuts.

Bon appetite!
